Police Arrest Two Men in Granby Street Killing

Officers with the Baltimore Police Department arrested two men in connection to a shooting on Wednesday evening that killed a 43-year-old man on the 1000 block of Granby Street. 

According to a press release, a Southeast District officer heard gunfire while he was patrolling the area on June 16. He found Lee Johnson suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim died on the scene.

The officer saw two suspects fleeing the scene. One of the suspects, a 26-year-old Devante Stewart allegedly hijacked a car. But, during his efforts to get away, he crashed on the 400 block of Asquith Street. The suspect then pushed his way into an apartment, where he was arrested. 

Stewart is charged with first and second-degree murder.

The other suspect, a 36-year-old man, was also taken into custody as well. The police are continue to investigate the incident.
