Police Arrest Suspect in Brooklyn Homicide

The Baltimore Police Department (BPD) announced an arrest related to a homicide that occurred on Jan. 19 in the Southern District.

On March 19, investigators arrested 30-year-old Darren Tomlinson of Baltimore in the 3700 block of 2nd Street without incident.

Detectives learned that Tomlinson shot and killed 43-year-old Hassan Howard and injured a 35-year-old male in the 400 block of Washburn Avenue.

Both victims were transported to an area hospital for treatment, where Howard was pronounced deceased a short time later.

Tomlinson was transported to the Central Booking & Intake Facility, where he was charged with first-degree murder.
