Police Arrest Suspect in Eagle Street Shooting

A 30-year-old man has been arrested for the shooting of a 21-year-old man on March 24. 

The Baltimore Police Department reported the arrest of Devonta Cox, 30, exactly four days after the incident at approximately 1:17 p.m. on the 1800 block of Eagle Street, where they found a 21-year-old man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the face and body.

The victim remains in critical condition at an area hospital. 

Police learned that responding officers had apprehended a person of interest who was found armed with a handgun, fleeing the shooting location. 

Southeastern District Shooting detectives were able to arrest and formally charge the apprehended suspect, Devonta Cox. 

Following his arrest, Cox was charged with first-degree attempted murder, where he is being held at central booking without bail.
