Baltimore Police Department homicide detectives have arrested a 30-year-old man in connection to the shooting of Michael Montgomery, 28, nearly one year ago.
According to police, detectives began their investigation after Montgomery was shot on the 3700 block of Gelston Avenue on June 11, 2020. Detectives later identified Martinez Armstrong, a Baltimore resident, as a suspect.
On May 5, the Warrant Task Force executed Armstrong’s arrest warrant on the 4700 block of Mt. Hope Drive. Police said Armstrong was taken to the homicide section and then central booking for first-degree murder charges.
Armstrong is currently waiting to see a court commissioner, police said.
