Police Arrest Man in Car Crash Shooting

A 50-year-old man was arrested in connection to a shooting on Sept. 19 that occurred after a car crash with the victims.

The Baltimore Police Department reported that James D. Wilkes was arrested by Warrant Apprehension detectives on the 1700 block of McCulloh Street. Wilkes, who is charged with two counts of attempted first-degree murder, shot at two men, ages 26 and 29, around 1:15 a.m. when their vehicle crashed into Wilkes’ vehicle on the 1700 block of Druid Hill Avenue.

An argument ensued, a news release states, and both men suffered gunshot wounds to their bodies.

Wilkes was taken to the Central Booking Intake Facility following his arrest.
