A Baltimore man was arrested on Wednesday in connection to an attempted murder on Russell Street last week.
According to a press release, a 20-year-old, who resides on the 2900 block of Mallview Road, was arrested by Baltimore’s Southern District Action Team around 1:45 p.m. on May 12 on the 2600 block of Patapsco Avenue.
Jones was charged with first-degree attempted murder after he allegedly shot a 33-year-old man in the ankle during an argument on May 8 in the 1500 block of Russell Street.
The wounded man ran inside a nearby casino where he received help, called police and was taken to a hospital. Following an interview with the victim, Southern District detectives used video footage and photographs from cameras in the area to identify Jones.
Jones is currently at Central Booking as he waits to see a court commissioner.
