In connection with the May 11 homicide that occurred in the Southwest District’s Edmondson Village, investigators have arrested 22-year-old Tamal Johnson, a repeat violent offender from Baltimore.
Homicide detectives discovered that Johnson was involved in the Mother’s Day killing of Taniya Gray, 23, in the 4100 block of Mountwood Road.
On May 22, Warrant Apprehension detectives and the U.S. Marshals arrested Johnson in the 3000 block of Elizabeth Avenue. He was transported to the Central Booking & Intake Facility, where he was charged with first- and second-degree murder, conspiracy, and various firearm offenses.
Johnson is currently being held without bail.
