On Dec. 7, 2022, at approximately 2:51 p.m., Northeast District patrol officers for the Baltimore Police Department (BPD) responded to a home on the 2400 block of Gainsborough Court for a report of a death.
Once there, officers located the victim, 75-year-old Stewartress Burke, suffering from obvious signs of trauma to the upper body.
Medics pronounced the victim dead at the location.
The victim’s son, 52-year-old Kevin Burke, informed officers at the location that he assaulted his mother during an argument, causing her death.
Officers transported Kevin Burke to the homicide unit to be interviewed by detectives then to Central Booking Intake Facility where he has been charged with the murder of his mother.
