Travis Maynor appeared before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Nicole K. Barmore for a pre-trial scheduling hearing on Aug. 15

Maynor, 45 , is charged with attempted first-degree murder, armed robbery, first-degree assault and multiple firearm-related offenses. The charges stem from a shooting from last fall that left one man critically injured at the Carroll Motor Fuels gas station on the 4100 block of Patterson Avenue.

On Aug. 20, 2024, shortly after 10:15 p.m., police responded to the gas station and found a 28-year-old male victim suffering from gunshot wounds to his face, chest, right thigh and upper back. Surveillance footage showed two masked suspects exiting a black Acura TL sedan with temporary Virginia tags and opening fire before fleeing.

Investigators later linked Maynor to the shooting through area surveillance footage, ballistic evidence and cellphone records.

Maynor’s original defense attorney, Andre Mahasa, was absent from the hearing due to an illness, leaving  Gregory Fischer to appear in his place. The prosecution attorney was also sick, leaving both parties represented by stand-in attorneys who were relatively new to the case.

In reception court, Judge Melissa K. Copeland reset Maynor’s trial to begin on Aug. 18 before Judge Althea M. Handy.
