On April 6, 2024, at approximately 11:34 p.m., Baltimore Police Department officers responded to the 3700 block of East Lombard Street for reports of a discharging.
Once there, they discovered two adult males (age unknown) suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The first victim, 38-year-old Jose Castron-Merales, sustained a fatal gunshot wound and was pronounced deceased by a medic. Victim 2 sustained an apparent non-life-threatening gunshot wound and was conscious. Victim 2 was transported to an area hospital.
