One Child, Three Teens, Five Adults Shot in Baltimore Tuesday

Nine people were shot, one fatally, in Baltimore City on Sept. 14.

According to several press releases from the Baltimore Police Department, the first shooting occurred around 2:30 p.m. when officers were informed of a potential shooting by a Shot Spotter alert. When they arrived, police found a man who had been shot multiple times.

He was taken to a hospital where he later died.

Three hours later around 5:30 p.m., officers found a woman shot in the stomach on the 2800 block of Boarman Avenue. Nearby, officers also found a 33-year-old man on the 2700 block of Park Heights Avenue who had been shot in the wrist.

A child and two teenagers were also shot on the 1700 block of N. Milton Avenue around 9 p.m on Tuesday. The 12-year-old boy, 14-year-old girl, and 17-year-old girl were all taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

A fourth victim, a 14-year-old girl who was also shot in the same incident, had walked to a hospital for treatment for her non-life threatening injuries. 

Around the same time on the 400 block of E. Baltimore St., commonly known as “The Block,” officers found a 35-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital and is listed as stable. 

Meanwhile, shortly before 9 p.m., officers were called to the 3900 block of Cranston Avenue after it was reported that a man had been shot in the head. The victim was a 21-year-old male who was taken to a hospital and is listed as stable.
