Officers Seeking Answers in Shooting of 65-Year-Old Woman in Southern District

On June 16, at approximately 10:32 a.m., Southern District patrol officers with the Baltimore Police Department (BPD) responded to the 900 block of East Patapsco Avenue to Investigate a reported shooting.

Once at the location, officers located a 65-year-old female victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the right leg. The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was inside a store in the 900 block of East Patapsco Avenue when a black SUV started to fire a handgun from the vehicle, striking the victim. The suspect vehicle then fled in an unknown direction.
