On June 13, at approximately 9:29 p.m., officers with the Baltimore Police Department (BPD) responded to the 1800 block of North Chapel Street to investigate a ShotSpotter alert.
Upon arrival, officers observed an unresponsive Darryl Crowder, 53, suffering from numerous life-threatening gunshot wounds. Medics arrived on the scene, and despite life-saving measures, the victim was pronounced deceased.
Eastern District homicide detectives responded and assumed control over this investigation.
