Officers Report Shooting Homicide in Southern District

On June 29, at approximately 12:11 a.m., Southern District patrol officers with the Baltimore Police Department (BPD) responded to the 2400 block of Wilgrey Court for a reported shooting investigation.

Once at the location, officers located 35-year-old Deveraun Rawlings suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the back. Medics responded and pronounced Rawlings deceased a short time later.

Preliminary investigation revealed that Rawlings was seated inside a vehicle when an unidentified suspect shot him.
