Officers Report Death of Man Following eastern Avenue Shooting

On April 3, at approximately 7:30 p.m., Southeast District officers with the Baltimore Police Department (BPD) responded to the 400 block of Imla Street to investigate a reported shooting.

Upon arrival, officers observed 21-year-old Edgar Ernesto Bonilla suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his body. The victim was transported by medics to an area hospital where he was later pronounced deceased by medical personnel.

Further investigation revealed that the incident had occurred in the 6300 block of Eastern Avenue.

Southeast District Shooting detectives responded and assumed control of the investigation.
