On July 3, at approximately 3:09 a.m., Southeast District patrol officers responded to the 400 block of South Broadway, for a report of a shooting.
Once there, officers located a 66-year-old male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the lower body.
The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
Investigators have determined the shooting occurred on the 1700 block of Gough Street where a crime scene was located.
