Officers Arrest Suspect in March North Arlington Avenue Homicide Investigation

In reference to the homicide that occurred on March 16, in the Western District, investigators have arrested 17-year-old Clifton Devon Shields of Baltimore.

Investigators learned that Shields shot and killed 19-year-old Tavon Wilson Jr., while on the 600 block of North Arlington Avenue.

Detectives arrested Shields on Aug.18, and transported him to Central Booking Intake Facility, where he has been charged with first-degree murder.

On March 16, at approximately 8:03 a.m., Western District patrol officers with the Baltimore Police Department responded to the 600 block of North Arlington Avenue for a person lying in the street.

Once there, officers located an adult male, unresponsive, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

The victim was pronounced dead on the scene.
