On July 28, at approximately 6:49 p.m., members of the Warrant Apprehension Task Force arrested 59-year-old Kenneth Craig on the 4100 block of Hollins Ferry Road.

Detectives suspected that Craig stabbed to death 36-year-old Shakita Thomas, on April 18, on the 500 block of East Jeffrey Street.

Detectives transported Craig to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he was charged with first-degree murder and additional charges.

On the day of the incident, at approximately 2:47 a.m., Southern District patrol officers responded to the 500 block of East Jeffery Street for a report of a cutting.

Once there, officers located an adult female suffering from apparent lacerations to the upper body.

Homicide detectives are asking anyone with information to contact them at 410-396-2100 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7Lockup.
