On March 19, at approximately 12:56 a.m., Northwest District patrol officers were on a traffic initiative on the 3100 block of West North Avenue when they heard gunfire.
Officers conducted an area canvas, locating a 27-year-old male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds, on the 1800 block of Bloomingdale Road.
The victim was transported to an area hospital where his injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.
