Northwest District Officers Arrest Suspect in Gwynn Oak Avenue Shooting Investigation

On May 23, at approximately 11:45 a.m., investigators arrested 29-year-old Lance Jamal Hickman.

Hickman was wanted for shooting a 31-year-old male on May 8, on the 5100 block of Gwynn Oak Avenue.

Investigators arrested Hickman while on the 4700 block of Gwynn Oak Avenue and transported him to Central Booking Intake Facility, where he was charged with attempted first-degree murder.

On the day of the incident, at approximately 5:49 p.m., officers responded to the 5100 block of Gwynn Oak Avenue for a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers located a 31-year-old male who was suffering from gunshot wounds to his body.

The victim was transported to an area hospital where he is in critical condition.

Northwest District shooting detectives with the Baltimore Police Department (BPD) responded and are investigating this incident. Detectives currently have no suspect information or motive.
