Northern District Officers Arrest and Charge Son for Fatally Stabbing Mother

In reference to the homicide that occurred on June 10, 2023, in the Northern District, officers have arrested 26-year-old Allen Jones of Baltimore.

Investigators learned that Allen Jones fatally stabbed his mother, 43-year-old Carla Jones, at their home on the 400 block of Lorraine Avenue following a dispute.

Officers transported Allen Jones to an area hospital for a psychological evaluation then to Central Booking Intake facility where he was charged with first-degree murder.

On the day of the incident, at approximately 6:33 a.m., Northern District patrol officers responded to the 400 block of Lorraine Avenue for a reported stabbing investigation.

Once at the location, officers located a Carla Jones suffering from an apparent stab wound lying unresponsive inside the residence. Medics responded and pronounced the victim deceased a short time later.

A relative of the victim was taken into custody at the location after admitting to officers that he stabbed the victim.
