Northeast District Officers Seek Information in Homicide Shooting Case

On June 30, at approximately 8:58 p.m., officers with the Baltimore Police Department (BPD) responded to the 1700 block of East 32nd Street to investigate a call for a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers observed 30-year-old Davonte Rouse suffering from numerous life-threatening gunshot wounds to his chest. Medics responded and transported the victim to an area hospital where he was treated for his injuries.

Northeast District shooting detectives responded and assumed control over this investigation. Due to Rouse’s condition, homicide detectives were notified.

On July 3, the BPD released an update stating that Rouse had died from his injuries.
