Northeast District Detectives Launch Investigation into Robbery Turned Shooting

On March 13, at approximately noon, officers with the Baltimore Police Department (BPD) were dispatched to an area hospital to investigate a walk-in shooting victim seeking treatment.

Upon arriving, officers observed a 16-year-old male being treated for a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the hand.

Preliminary investigation revealed the victim was in the 5000 block of E. Preston Street when he was shot as a result of an attempted robbery.

Northeast District shooting detectives were notified and assumed control of the investigation.
