Non-Fatal Shooting Defendant’s Bail Hearing Postponed

A Baltimore man allegedly involved in a non-fatal shooting had his hearing postponed for two weeks on Nov. 22 before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Jeannie J. Hong. 

Quantae Richardson’s new defense counsel was granted a postponement for two weeks to allow him to make all necessary transitions with the previous attorney on the case. 

Richardson, 26, is charged with first-degree assault, use of a firearm during a felony violent crime, use of an assault weapon with a magazine chamber, reckless endangerment, having a handgun on his person, illegal possession of ammo, and use of a deadly weapon with the intent to injure in connection to an incident perpetrated on May 18, 2019. 

According to the Baltimore City Circuit Courts, the victim and his family were preparing to attend a family event when the defendant allegedly walked up behind him and attempted to hit him with a brick. The victim was placing his child in the car at the time.  

The victim then pulled out a gun on the defendant, which resulted in Richardson allegedly also pulling a gun. 

Richardson allegedly fired at the victim and missed, but the victim shot him in the leg.

In a second attempt to shoot the victim, Richardson’s guns jammed and did not fire. 

Richardson’s next hearing is scheduled for Dec. 6.
