On Dec. 22, a 26-year-old woman was scheduled for a two-day jury trial this May for a neighbor dispute turned shooting earlier this year.
On June 19, Gloreca Bailey was allegedly arguing with her neighbors, went inside her home and returned, firing a handgun in the air. The Baltimore resident has since been charged with six counts of assault, three counts of reckless endangerment, and three weapons charges.
Bailey and her defense counsel, Joseph Owens, appeared in Baltimore City Circuit Court’s reception proceedings on Thursday when counsel and Judge Melissa Phinn agreed on a trial date of May 1, 2023, before Judge Jeannie Hong.
The defendant, who was released on home detention in August, was originally scheduled for trial Thursday before Judge Gregory Sampson but was postponed due to counsel availability.
