Timothy Knott, 28, will face a second jury trial slated for Sept. 9 after a mistrial in his case was declared April 17. Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa M. Phinn presided during the first trial and the April 18 hearing but provided no details about why the original proceeding was halted.
Going forward, Knott remains charged with first-degree murder, firearm use in a violent crime, attempted second-degree murder, first- and second-degree assault, and related firearm violations in connection to the 2024 murder of Anthony Pearson, 43.
According to charging documents, Knott is believed to have shot and killed Pearson on April 29th, 2024, in the 4600 block of Garrison Boulevard. Pearson was pronounced dead at the scene. Officers recovered video footage from the crime scene that showed an individual identified as the defendant leaving the incident address and fleeing in a red Chrysler minivan.
Knott’s second trial is scheduled to last four days before Judge Michael A. DiPietro.
