Representing himself, Jason Williams’ murder trial continued before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Michael A. DiPietro on Aug. 13, with the prosecution introducing multiple witnesses to describe crime scene footage.
Williams, 37, faces first-degree murder and firearm charges for a Nov. 3, 2024 shooting that left 58-year-old Solomon Wise dead on the 4200 block of Sheldon Avenue. Previously, Williams was allegedly affiliated with “4200”–what prosecutors say is a criminal enterprise that traffics drugs such as cocaine, heroin and fentanyl.
Officers from the Baltimore Police Department (BPD) detailed their views of area surveillance video and body-worn cameras, which captured Willams’ arrest following a traffic stop in which the suspect was in the passenger seat of another individual’s vehicle.
Williams, who elected to dismiss his attorney the day prior in order to represent himself, grew increasingly agitated and raised his voice during his cross-examination of police witnesses.
The trial is scheduled to continue Aug. 14.
