Medical Examiner Rules Man Died of Gunshot to Shoulder

On Feb. 3, at approximately 9:50 a.m., Western District officers were dispatched to the 3000 block of Edmondson Avenue to investigate a reported possible overdose. 

Upon arrival, Baltimore Police Department officers located 55-year-old Melvin White victim lying unresponsive on the front porch. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene by medics, and the body was transported to the Medical Examiner’s Office for autopsy.

On Feb. 4, the Medical Examiner’s Office performed an autopsy and discovered a gunshot wound to the victim’s left shoulder, which caused his death.
