Mass Shooting in Central Park Heights Leaves 1 Dead, 5 Injured

The Baltimore Police Department (BPD) announced a homicide investigation in the Northern District.

On Aug. 9, at approximately 8:46 p.m., Northern District officers responded to the 5100 block of Queensberry Avenue for a reported shooting.

Upon arrival, officers found six victims with gunshot wounds, including four males and two females. Among the victims is a 5-year-old girl. All victims were transported to area hospitals for treatment.

A 38-year-old male victim is in critical condition. The other victims, including the 5-year-old girl, a 23-year-old female, a 32-year-old male, a 33-year-old male, and a 52-year-old male, are believed to have non-life-threatening injuries.

Due to the severity of the 38-year-old male’s injuries, homicide detectives responded to the scene and assumed control of the investigation.
