The Baltimore Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred on the 1000 block of Hunter Street.
According to a press release, officers were called to the 1000 block of N. Calvert Street at around 11 p.m. on June 25.
Upon arrival, they discovered a man inside of a vehicle with a gunshot wound.
He was taken to a local hospital, where he later died. Police updated the public on June 28 that the victim was named Ishmael Davenport.
Evidence suggests that Davenport, 23, was parked on Hunter Street when he was shot. He then drove to N. Calvert Street, where he crashed his vehicle.
