Man Shot Multiple Times in Southeast Baltimore, Expected to Recover

The Baltimore Police Department (BPD) announced a shooting investigation in the Southeast District.

On Aug. 16, at approximately 3:28 a.m., Southeast District officers responded to the 200 block of S. Conkling Street for a report of discharging of a firearm.

A short time later, officers received a call regarding a walk-in shooting victim seeking treatment at an area hospital.

Upon arrival at the hospital, officers spoke with a 42-year-old male victim, who was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the leg and back. The victim is listed in stable condition.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim stated he was in the 200 block of S. Conkling Street when he was shot by an unidentified individual, and he drove himself to the hospital.

Southeast District shooting detectives responded to the scene and assumed control of the investigation.
