Man Shot in Face in North Baltimore, Expected to Survive

The Baltimore Police Department (BPD) announced a shooting investigation in the Northern District.

On Sept. 24, at approximately 4:39 p.m., officers responded to the 2800 block of Woodland Avenue to investigate a reported shooting.

Upon arrival, officers located a 39-year-old male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the face. The victim was transported to an area hospital and is listed in stable condition.

Preliminary investigation reveals that the victim was in the 4000 block of Park Heights Avenue when he was shot. He then drove to Woodland Avenue to call the police.

Northern District shooting detectives responded to the scene and assumed control of the investigation.
