The Baltimore Police Department notified the public July 13 that a shooting that took place on Dec. 26, 2020, is now being considered a homicide.
According to a press release, the victim, Darnell Jones, succumbed to his injuries on July 9. Jones, 31, was shot on the 4200 block of Nicholas Avenue.
As of Tuesday, there have been 182 homicides in Baltimore in 2021.
