Man Shot During Southwest Baltimore Carjacking Expected to Survive

The Baltimore Police Department (BPD) announced a shooting investigation in the Southwest District.

On Oct. 23, at approximately 11:50 p.m., Southwest District patrol officers responded to the 4100 block of Massachusetts Avenue for a report of a shooting.

Officers located a 38-year-old male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment, where he is listed in stable condition.

Preliminary investigation revealed the victim was shot during the course of a carjacking in the 100 block of S. Augusta Avenue.
