Police killed a man on the 6000 block of Alta Avenue on Aug. 9, according to Fox Baltimore.
The report said Baltimore Police officers were called to the scene for an assault and behavioral crisis around 9 p.m. on Sunday. A standoff between police and an unidentified man ensued.
Around 3 a.m. on Monday, the man reportedly opened fire at a residence. He was killed after at least one officer returned fire. No officers were injured in the shooting.
WBAL-TV reported that hostage and SWAT teams responded to the scene and that two people were evacuated from the home during the incident. Police did not provide any details on the relationship between the two people and the victim of the shooting, the report said.
Police held a press conference regarding the shooting on Monday morning at the intersection of Glenmore and Walther Avenues.
