The Baltimore Police Department (BPD) announced a shooting investigation in the Northwest District.
On Aug. 3, at approximately 2:05 a.m., a Northwest District officer on routine patrol heard gunfire.
The officer canvassed the area and located a 27-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound in the 5200 block of Fairlawn Avenue.
Medics responded to the location and transported the victim to an area hospital for treatment.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was shot while in the 5100 block of Reisterstown Road.
