A Baltimore man charged with vehicular manslaughter and fleeing the scene of an accident rejects a plea offer made in reception court on Sept. 1 before Judge Melissa M. Phinn in Baltimore City Circuit Court.
Nazr Basim Williams, 24, was charged with manslaughter, along with two traffic violations due to fleeing the scene in May 2020. Williams was offered 10 years for vehicular manslaughter and for leaving the scene of an accident. Williams was also in violation of probation.
John Hassett, William’s defense attorney, rejected the plea offer on behalf of his client.
Judge Phinn scheduled the case for a three day trial on Jan. 04, 2022, with Judge Lynn S. Mays presiding.
