Attempted homicide defendant Marquise Williams rejected a 45-year plea offer on Feb. 17 in connection to a shooting on Eastbury Avenue last August.
Williams, 25, is accused of shooting a 24-year-old man on the 5300 block of Eastbury Avenue on Aug. 10, 2022, and was arrested two months later. He has since been charged with multiple counts of attempted murder, assault, and weapons charges.

On Friday, the prosecution offered Williams a plea of life, suspending all but 45 years, and five years of supervised probation for conspiracy to first-degree murder and five years without parole for conspiracy to firearm use in a felony violent crime. Williams would also be required to stay away from the victim and register as a gun offender.
After he rejected the plea, Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa Phinn set a trial date for Aug. 14.
