The Baltimore Police Department (BPD) announced a shooting investigation in the Central District.
On May 12, at approximately 12:59 a.m., Central District patrol officers responded to the 1000 block of Comet Street for a report of a shooting victim.
Officers located a 40-year-old male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
The victim was transported to an area hospital, where he is expected to survive.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was shot while in the 1000 block of New Hope Circle.
