Non-Fatal Shooting

Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa K. Copeland set a three-day trial starting Oct. 28 for defendant Tyrone White after he rejected a plea on Aug. 25.
White, 40, faces a total of 13 charges, including attempted first- and second-degree murder, first-degree assault, firearm use in a violent crime, reckless endangerment, and several other firearm-related violations.
White was accused in connection to an April 20 non-fatal shooting incident that occurred on the 2400 block of Orleans Street leaving a man wounded in his right leg.
White’s sister advised she was trying to enter a vehicle when the victim blocked her entry with his body, hit her and fled.
In response, White allegedly produced a gun and shot the victim through the vehicle’s window. The gunfire also struck an occupied 2020 Chevrolet Malibu and the window of a nearby home. The residents were home at the time of the shooting.
White’s vehicle almost hit the victim as he drove on the 2400 block of E. Fayette Street.
When the victim began using his cellphone to take photographs of White’s vehicle registration tags, White’s sister allegedly approached, confronted and pushed him. He reportedly pushed her back and fled.
