The jury was selected on Aug. 4 for the trial of a 27-year-old defendant in a homicide two years ago.
Baltimore resident Elontae Walker is charged with first-degree murder and firearm use in a violent crime. The charges stem from an incident on Aug. 25, 2019.
Defense attorney Amy Stone is set to represent Walker during the trial, which is expected to last five days. She did not file any pretrial motions on Wednesday.
Opening statements are scheduled to begin on Aug. 5 with Judge Erik S. Atas presiding.
