Following several hours of deliberation on Nov. 12, jurors acquitted one of three co-defendants in the fatal 2024 Federal Hill shooting of all charges but one.
Devontaye “Taye Money” Richardson, 29, was only found guilty of reckless endangerment in connection to the fatal shooting, which occurred Oct. 27, 2024 and resulted in the death of 19-year-old Cameran Holt.
Richardson was indicted alongside co-defendants Alexis Cancel-Soto, 21, of Baltimore, and Daeshaun Clark, 29, of Severn. Cancel-Soto was convicted of first-degree murder and seven other charges in connection to the murder in September 2025.
While the jury did not deliberate on Nov. 11 due to Veterans Day, they reached a unanimous decision the following day, acquitting Richardson of first-degree murder, attempted murder, assault, and related conspiracy and gun violations.
The maximum penalty for reckless endangerment in Maryland is five years behind bars and a potential fine of up to $5,000.
Sentencing for Richardson has yet to be scheduled.
