Judge Schedules Trial for 17-Year-Old Murder Defendant

A defendant charged with committed a September 2022 murder received a trail date on Feb. 10 before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa M. Phinn.

The assistant state’s attorney assigned to Nizah Daniels’ case apologized to Judge Phinn on Friday for not having a plea offer for the defendant at this time, but said she would convey one to defense attorney Roland Harris IV soon.

Daniels, 17, is charged with first-degree murder, use of a firearm in a felony violent crime, illegally possessing a regulated firearm and possession of a firearm as a minor in connection to an incident on Sept. 2, 2022.

According to Fox 45 News, Daniels was charged in connection to the murder of high school football player Jeremiah Brodgen on Sept. 2, 2022.

Judge Phinn scheduled for Daniels to start trial on Sept. 19. There has been no judge assigned to this case at this time.
