Prosecutors had no plea to offer a 29-year-old homicide defendant before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa Phinn on June 2.
Defendant Osiris Rodriguez is charged with first-degree murder, two counts of use of a firearm during a felony violent crime, attempted first-degree murder, first-degree assault, and having a handgun on his person in connection to the death of 43-year-old Travis Curry on Nov. 23, 2022.
As stated in court documents, on the day of the incident, officers were called to the 500 block of North Rose Street for reports of a shooting. On arrival, officers found Curry with an apparent gunshot to his chest.
Medics pronounced the victim deceased on the scene.
Rodriguez was represented by defense counsel Roland Harris.
Judge Phinn scheduled the defendant’s trial for Oct. 24 with Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Charles H. Dorsey presiding. It is expected to last four days.
