A Baltimore City Circuit Court judge declared a mistrial in the case of two teens charged with murder after the jury was unable to reach an unanimous verdict on Dec. 12.

The trial of homicide co-defendants Darell Parker and William Holloman came to an end on Dec. 9 with closing arguments as the defense stated that the prosecutor and Baltimore police were pinning a murder on two teens before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Jennifer B. Schiffer.

Parker’s defense counsel Catherine Flynn says that Baltimore police saw two teens and decided to pin the murder of 38-year-old Clark Hohrein on them, she said, and there was no investigation done.

Flynn noted that the police tracked the teens’ movement through surveillance cameras for hours. The police had no witnesses, forensic evidence, or ballistic, nor was a search and seizure warrant conducted for the defendants.

“The prosecutor’s theory is based on pure speculation,” said Flynn.

“It is beyond common sense to believe what the prosecutor wants you to believe,” said Holloman’s defense counsel Robert Linthicum and Jennifer Davis.

Davis stated that the police did not thoroughly investigate this homicide.

During her closing arguments, the prosecutor described video footage of the victim being followed down the street by the suspects.

“Watch how they interact with one another. What happened did not faze them,” said the prosecutor to jurors.
