An attempted murder defendant rejected a plea offered by prosecutors before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa M. Phinn on March 1.
Eric Davis was offered a sentence of life, suspending all but 35 years for attempted first-degree murder, and a concurrent sentence of 20 years for the use of a firearm with a felony conviction in connection to an incident on Aug. 22, 2022.
On the day of the shooting, according to the Baltimore Police Department, officers responded to a man suffering from gunshot wounds on the 1200 block of Washington Boulevard.
Davis was arrested four weeks later.
Judge Phinn scheduled Davis’ and his attorney Robert Ness to begin trial on May 30. The trial is expected to last two days before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa K. Copeland.
