Homicide investigators for the Baltimore Police Department (BPD) are looking for answers regarding a murder which occurred the night of Dec. 26.
On Monday, at approximately 9:42 p.m., Eastern District officers were dispatched to the 700 block of North Curley Street to investigate a ShotSpotter alert for gunfire in the area.
When officers arrived at the location, they canvassed the area and discovered 40-year-old David Watts Jr. suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to Johns Hopkins Hospital by ambulance and pronounced dead by medical personnel shortly after arrival.
