Investigators Make Arrest in April 2023 Murder

In reference to a homicide that occurred in the Eastern District on April 14, 2023, Baltimore Police Department investigators have arrested 42-year-old Tyrell Williams of East Baltimore.

Detectives learned that Williams fatally shot 25-year-old Craig Hunter while on the 2300 block of East Oliver Street.

On March 18, Tyrell Williams was arrested at a home on the 1700 block of East 25th Street. Detectives transported Williams to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he has been officially charged with first- and second-degree murder, assault and handgun violations.

On April 14, 2023, at approximately 12:03 a.m., Eastern District patrol officers responded to the 2300 block of East Oliver Street, for a report of a shooting.

Once there, officers located a 25-year-old male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

Medics responded to the location and pronounced the victim dead on the scene.
