Investigation Underway in Fatal Pedestrian Hit and Run

On November 26, 2022, at approximately 10:05 p.m., Baltimore Police officers responded to the southbound lane of I-83 South at E. Fayette Street where a pedestrian was struck.

Upon arrival, officers found a 61-year-old woman who had been struck by a vehicle. The woman was transported to Shock Trauma where she was pronounced deceased.

Crash Team investigators responded and assumed control of the investigation which revealed the deceased was attempting to cross westbound, in the southbound lane of I-83 at Fayette Street.  An unknown dark colored SUV was traveling south on I-83 when it struck the woman and then fled the area, continuing south on President Street.

This fatal hit and run investigation is ongoing. Crash Team investigators are asking anyone with information to call 410-396-2606 or call Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7LOCKUP.
