On Feb. 20, at approximately 2:20 p.m., Southern District patrol officers responded to an area hospital for a walk-in shooting investigation.
Once at the hospital, officers located a 13-year-old male victim who was suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the left inner thigh. The investigation revealed that the incident occurred in the 1300 block of Hollins Street.
Further investigation revealed that the victim shot himself. The case has been downgraded to a self-inflicted shooting.
